The world of aircraft maintenance is constantly changing. Core processes require continuous optimization (including through Digitization) and predictive maintenance (facilitated by Big Data) is playing an increasingly important role. Market changes require better integration with subsidiaries, suppliers and customers and greater flexibility and transparency in the logistics process.
The IT organization responds to this by approaching the development of the application landscape from modern architectural principles, increasingly anticipating customer demand by means of reference architectures and basing the way of working on agile principles based on the SAFe framework.
Activities

As an ICT Architect you take care of the design of the right ICT solutions for your project or product. Within Engineering & Maintenance, SAP/iMRO, Maintenix and Documentum/xCP are the core systems, supplemented by specific supplier systems. In Digitizing, we unlock these systems with mobile solutions based on APIs via Cordova/Ionic or SAP Fiori.

As an ICT architect, you translate the functional and non-functional requirements of our E&M client into a suitable solution in a transparent manner, based on the direction indicated by the reference architectures and operational guidelines. You record this in a Global Design/Solution Intent of the ICT solution that you have approved in the architecture board. This enables the developers to realize the software, the ICT specialists to set up the necessary infrastructure, and the service specialists to arrange the end-to-end service. During the realization you supervise the teams that realize your design until delivery. You switch with various parties, both internal and external.
As a member of the architecture team, you also contribute to the setting up of reference architectures.
For this assignment we are looking for someone with a focus on Data processing solutions. You will be working on the IT architecture of Big Data projects, BI projects and the design of Master Data Management and Meta data management.

You are able to design data lakes with technologies like Hadoop and proficient in ETL tools, Datawarehouses using SAP BI/Hana and TeraData. You are experienced in designing Master Data Management solutions, preferably with SAP MDG and in setting up Metadata management.
