Your challenge
The System Architect is recognized as an expert in his/her field. The System Architect contributes to the research, technical concepts and prototype development. Based on broad knowledge of system architecture, design and risk management in the healthcare industry he/she has a central role within the research team. He/she has the total system overview, combined with in depth knowledge of medical product development, and is recognized as a technical specialist.
 
Your responsibilities
.              Analyzes user requirements and regulatory requirements of government & industry bodies (e.g. FDA, IVDR, ISO) and translates these into product requirements;
.              Develops and Designs system architecture as part of the defined product / technology roadmap;
.              Performs technology assessments to enhance and/or support new and existing systems and helps to develop technology roadmaps;
.              Documents and presents system architecture to development managers, project leaders and development teams;
.              Plans and executes Safety Risk Management assessments and identifies mitigations and safety requirements;
.              Assists the project leader in a work breakdown and drafting realistic schedules;
.              Define scope and problem domain in a crisp and structured way: defining the problem with stakeholders and identifying key issues;
.              Keeps up to date with new technology developments and introduces these into the research projects;
.              Has a strong experience in software development and a strong affinity with medical imaging and/or medical devices;
.              Has excellent written and oral communication skills in Dutch and English;
.              Is result-driven, accurate and quality minded.
 
You are a part of the Embedded Systems department, which focuses on application of technologies that connect the physical world to the digital world, like connectivity and high-performance computing. The department consists of scientists, architects and development engineers working closely together with application specialists, other scientists and engineers in multidisciplinary teams in a highly innovative, challenging and inspiring environment.
