Opdracht-/functiebeschrijving
As a Java DevOps Engineer, you will be part of the 2PiR squad within OnePAM, which is part of the new TPA (Touch Point Architecture) Tribe. The squad maintains and develops high speed, high volume API’s using a Cassandra noSQL database. These API’s are used by over 280 Dutch applications. Our next challenge is to build API’s that can be used on a global scale.

Your role within 2PiR will be to design, build, and maintain these java API’s according to the standards. Performance, security, and resilience are of upmost important, as we will be handling high load customer data and want to deliver a service with maximum availability. You are required to have strong knowledge and experience in developing API’s, while a good understanding and experience with Cassandra is needed. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and an event driven-architecture speaks to your advantage. You will also play a role in developing and maintaining fully automated functional and technical tests as well as performance and resilience tests.

2PiR is a multidisciplinary DevOps squad working according to the scrum agile methodology and using continuous delivery practices. This means that you will also be involved in analysing and fixing production issues, and also in creating required documentation, especially regarding risk controls.

The working location is Leeuwarden, but you must be prepared to incidentally travel to Amsterdam.
